Relentless heat and raging wildfires continue to ravage southern Europe, with one-quarter of weather stations in Spain recording 40C temperatures, as the prime minister urged people to “leave the climate emergency outside of partisan struggles”.

¶ Mission Objectives
- To transport international aid (care packages and essential fire-fighting equipment that is being delivered, on international cargo ships and stockpiled on the island of Ibiza (LEIB) closer to the affected region, Lisbon (LPPT).
- Supplies are being split at Lisbon (LPPT) and three quaters need air cargo transport north to assist the fire-fighting and aid efforts - deliver to Porto (LPPR)
- Fly essential care packages, fire-fighting equipment, and aid from the staging areas (LPPT and LPPR) to the affected areas (Cargo missions)
- To evacuate citizens from the worst affected area back to the staging areas (LPPT and LPPR) (Passenger missions)

The following legs are valid for the aid delivery and citizen evacuation mission:
Cargo delivery/staging-only missions:
- LEIB Ibiza > LPPT Lisbon (491nm) – Off-shore supply transport (Cargo mission)
- LPPT Lisbon > LEIB Ibiza (491nm) – Off-shore re-supply transport (Cargo mission)
- LPPT Lisbon > LPPR Porto (177nm) – Supply staging (Cargo mission)
- LPPR Porto > LPPT Lisbon (177nm) – Re-supply staging (Cargo mission)
Fireground operations:
- LPPR Porto > LERO Rozas (135nm) – Delivery of care packages and fire-fighting supplies to the affected area (Cargo mission)
- LERO Rozas > LPPR Porto (135nm) – Citizen EVAC (Passenger mission)
- LPPR Porto > LPBG Burgos (99nm) – Delivery of care packages and fire-fighting supplies to the affected area (Cargo mission)
- LPBG Burgos > LPPR Porto (99nm) – Citizen EVAC (Passenger mission)
- LPPT Lisbon > LPVZ Viseu (134nm) – Delivery of care packages and fire-fighting supplies to the affected area (Cargo mission)

Planning on putting in the hours? Rotate (fly to different) locations to keep your concentration sharp!
You can fly any of these routes as many times as you like within the 48-hour window — your dedication to the rescue efforts is greatly appreciated!
For "Cargo missions" these flights will pay the most if you fly the largest aircraft in terms of it's maximum cargo capacity.
For "Passenger missions" these flights will pay the most if you fly the largest aircraft in terms of it's passenger (seat) capacity.
Install and configure JoinFS using our useful instructions to gain an addition 20% bonus on all flights! - For MSFS2024 users you might want to disable the display of/"injection" of other aircraft from the JoinFS settings (or simply not use JoinFS but waive your rights to the 20% bonus) as it might cause CTDs BUT users on other platforms unaffected by the CTDs will appreciate you providing them with multiplayer models - I'm tell'in ya!
Don't attempt to use time acceleration as your flight will be ignored by Aeroconomy without warning (so don't waste your time testing it!)
This particular "World Event" (an "early access" test) is open for Premium members only.
You can keep track of the "World Relief Fund" that is "paying out" for these aid flights - once the fund balance reaches $0 or the clock strikes on August the 25th at 00:00, the aid mission will be over and no further payments will be made to pilots (whichever one comes first) use this dedicated webpage here: https://world-relief-fund.org (a fictional webpage we created and hosted to enhance the sense of immersion)
These flights, when using the most suitable aircraft for the mission type can payout up to a total of $41,000 and otherwise scales linearly based on the aicraft capacity.
The smallest aicraft will be gaurateed atleast $2,000 per flight!
You can use ANY of the Aerconomy-compatible aircraft (check the "Aircraft" list dropdown in the PFH app or use this page (aircraft with a "tick" are compatible!) if you aren't sure what are valid aircraft!)
You DO NOT NEED to book any jobs (such as in the PFH app) as these "World Events" work in the same way as the Daily Flight Challenges (just turn up and fly from and two the valid routes).
